Pine Resin is one of the ingredients used by Frank Wrap to make the food wrap. It is known as Pine Rosin / Resin / Colophony. Pine rosin isn't soluble in water so it helps to prevent the accidental removal of the wax coating when washing as well as raising the melting point of the formula so it won't simply slide off in hot weather. In Europe, Rosin is authorised for use on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.
